The Civitas SOL (School of Leadership) mission is to empower and inspire urban youth to develop the full range of their innate talents, intellectual promise and compassion as they value the interdependence of all life. Civitas SOL youth are expected to pursue interdisciplinary inquiry as critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and humane leaders who have a strong sense of self and community with a commitment to nonviolence and social justice, environmental consciousness and democratic activism.
